When a Student Can Access Moodle

When you as a student are able to log into Moodle, and troubleshooting for other Moodle log-in related issues

Last Updated: December 7th, 2021

Logging into Moodle for new students:

New students are only able to log into Moodle:
1. After registering for classes.
2. After the classes have been loaded into Moodle (after the term starts).

*Note: If you wish to access Moodle before the term starts, select log-in as a guest at the bottom of the page here.

Logging into Moodle for previously enrolled students:

If you are an active student (registered for the current term, upcoming term, or previous 4 terms), you should be able to access Moodle. If you are having issues logging in, please troubleshoot below on links provided at the end of the article.

Viewing your courses:

All students are able to view their classes ranging from the week before the term starts to within the first week. The course will be loaded by our Banner system and then be made visible by the instructor close to the start of the term, or within the first week (if the instructor uses Moodle). Not all Instructors use Moodle for their courses.  Be sure to check your Lane Email account for communications from your Instructors.

When student enrollments are added:

Student enrollments are added 2 weeks (finals week) before the term starts.
